Type 1: The Reformer

The Rational, Idealistic Type: Principled, Purposeful, Self-Controlled, and Perfectionistic.

Overview

Type Ones are principled, purposeful individuals driven by a strong sense of right and wrong. They hold themselves and others to high standards, constantly striving for improvement and integrity. Ones are typically organized, self-disciplined, and detail-oriented, with a natural ability to identify errors and inefficiencies. Their inner critic is ever-present, pushing them toward perfection while making them acutely aware of their own shortcomings.

Key Motivations

At their core, Ones are motivated by a desire to be good, virtuous, and beyond reproach. They fear being corrupt, defective, or morally flawed. This drives them to work tirelessly toward their ideals, often becoming advocates for justice and positive change. However, this same motivation can lead to rigidity, resentment when others don't meet their standards, and difficulty relaxing or accepting imperfection. When healthy, Ones channel their passion for improvement into wisdom and acceptance, becoming inspiring ethical leaders who balance idealism with compassion.
